This therapeutic regimen is a specific controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) protocol designed for women undergoing infertility treatment who are classified as "poor ovarian responders" according to the Bologna criteria. The protocol utilizes **triptorelin**, a GnRH agonist, starting in the mid-luteal phase to achieve pituitary downregulation and prevent premature ovulation. This is followed by a single 150μg injection of **corifollitropin alfa** (Elonva), a long-acting recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) that sustains follicular growth for seven days. From day 8 onwards, daily injections of **highly purified human menopausal gonadotrophin (hpHMG)** are administered to provide continued FSH and luteinizing hormone (LH) activity until the criteria for triggering ovulation are met.
