Overview

CoV2 preS dTM [B.1.351] is a soluble trimeric SARS-CoV-2 recombinant spike (S) protein derived from the B.1.351 (Beta) variant. It is stabilized in its prefusion conformation and has its transmembrane and intracellular domains deleted. This antigen is produced using a baculovirus expression system in an insect cell line. It functions as an active ingredient in adjuvanted vaccines, typically combined with the AS03 adjuvant system, to induce an immune response against SARS-CoV-2, specifically targeting the B.1.351 variant. The development of this antigen and its associated vaccines has been a collaborative effort between Sanofi and GSK.
