Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This next-generation COVID-19 vaccine candidate, developed by Curative Biotechnology, is a combination of a proprietary protein-based antigen and the IMT504 adjuvant. IMT504 is a non-CpG oligodeoxynucleotide (ODN) that acts as an immunostimulant by targeting and activating B cells and plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs), thereby enhancing the vaccine-induced immune response. The vaccine is specifically designed for immunocompromised patients with kidney failure, including those on dialysis or awaiting kidney transplantation, who typically exhibit poor responses to standard mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines. Curative Biotechnology licensed the IMT504 technology from Mid-Atlantic BioTherapeutics for this indication.
