Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Curative Biotechnology is developing a next-generation COVID-19 vaccine specifically designed for kidney failure patients, including those on dialysis or who have received a kidney transplant. This population often exhibits impaired immune responses to standard mRNA vaccines. The vaccine candidate combines a proprietary protein-based antigen with IMT504, a novel patented immunotherapy and adjuvant licensed from Mid-Atlantic BioTherapeutics (MABT). IMT504 is a non-CpG oligodeoxynucleotide that acts as an immunostimulant to boost the immune response in immunocompromised individuals. The program is currently in the preclinical stage, with the company working toward an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for Phase I/II clinical trials.
