Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CR6086 + methotrexate is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). CR6086 is a novel, potent, and selective prostaglandin EP4 receptor antagonist with immunomodulatory properties. When combined with methotrexate (MTX), a standard first-line DMARD (disease-modifying antirheumatic drug), this combination aims to provide enhanced efficacy in early RA patients. In preclinical studies, CR6086 has shown favorable immunomodulatory effects, including reduction of key cytokines involved in RA pathogenesis (IL-6, VEGF, IL-23, IL-17). The combination significantly improved the effect of methotrexate in animal models of arthritis.
