Overview

CRS-207 + cisplatin + pemetrexed is a combination therapy that pairs a live-attenuated Listeria monocytogenes-based immunotherapy vaccine with standard chemotherapy for the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). CRS-207 is engineered to express mesothelin, a tumor-associated antigen highly expressed in MPM. The vaccine works by inducing antitumor immune responses and increasing susceptibility of neoplastic cells to immune-mediated killing. When combined with the chemotherapy agents pemetrexed and cisplatin, this regimen has shown promising clinical responses in MPM patients, with significant changes observed in the local tumor microenvironment.
