CRT'2199 is a preclinical, orally available small-molecule inhibitor of the serine/threonine kinase cell division cycle 7-related kinase (CDC7), developed by Cancer Research Horizons, the commercialization and innovation arm of Cancer Research UK. By potently inhibiting CDC7, a key regulator of DNA replication initiation, CRT'2199 aims to disrupt uncontrolled proliferation in cancers characterized by CDC7 overexpression, which is associated with poor prognosis across multiple tumor types. In xenograft models of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and renal cancers, CRT'2199 has shown potent, dose-dependent tumor growth inhibition with favorable tolerability and a low predicted efficacious dose, while its optimal disease positioning and patient selection strategies are being explored through AI-driven simulation partnerships to guide future clinical development.[2][3][4][7][11]
