Overview

CryoStor CS10 + ringer's lactate is a specialized formulation used as a cryopreservation and delivery vehicle for cell-based therapies. CryoStor CS10 is a commercially available, protein-free, and serum-free medium containing 10% dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), designed to mitigate cold-induced molecular stress and maintain cell viability during freezing and thawing. Ringer's lactate is an isotonic crystalloid solution containing sodium chloride, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, and calcium chloride. In clinical trials such as the ScarASC study for hypertrophic scars, this combination is used to suspend adipose-derived regenerative cells (ADRCs) for intralesional injection, providing a stable environment that balances cryoprotection with physiological compatibility.
