Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CS1001 + chemotherapy is an investigational combination therapy composed of CS1001, a fully human IgG4 monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), and standard platinum-based chemotherapy agents (typically carboplatin, paclitaxel, or pemetrexed depending on histological subtype). CS1001 blocks the PD-L1/PD-1 immune checkpoint pathway, restoring T-cell activity against tumor cells that evade immune detection by expressing PD-L1. The combination has shown significant efficacy in prolonging progression-free survival in first-line treatment of stage IV squamous and non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), meeting the primary endpoint in a randomized phase 3 trial. It is also under evaluation in other advanced solid tumors and hematological malignancies[1][2][3][4][5].
