Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CS14**** is a preclinical peptide-based triple agonist developed by Cascade Pharmaceuticals. It simultaneously targets the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP1R), the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR), and the glucagon receptor (GCGR). This multi-receptor agonist approach is designed to leverage the synergistic effects of these pathways to improve glycemic control and induce significant weight loss. By activating GLP1R and GIPR, the drug enhances insulin secretion and suppresses appetite, while GCGR activation increases energy expenditure and lipid metabolism. It is currently being investigated for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
