CSC-DC is an autologous dendritic cell vaccine loaded with cancer stem cell (CSC) antigens, developed by Fuda Cancer Hospital in Guangzhou. The vaccine is designed to target the CSC population, which is often resistant to conventional chemotherapy and responsible for tumor recurrence and metastasis. By pulsing dendritic cells with CSC-enriched antigens, the therapy aims to prime the immune system—specifically cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and B cells—to recognize and eliminate CSCs. In clinical studies, it has been evaluated for safety and immunogenicity in patients with stage III epithelial ovarian cancer in remission or metastatic ovarian adenocarcinoma.
