Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CT-P13 + methotrexate is a pharmaceutical combination consisting of **CT-P13**, a biosimilar to infliximab, and **methotrexate**. CT-P13 is a monoclonal antibody that inhibits tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα), thus suppressing excessive inflammation associated with autoimmune diseases. Methotrexate is a conventional disease-modifying antirheumatic drug (DMARD) with immunosuppressive and anti-inflammatory effects, primarily inhibiting dihydrofolate reductase and affecting DNA synthesis and immune cell proliferation. This combination is used to treat **moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis** in patients with an inadequate response to methotrexate alone[1][2][3]. Clinical studies have shown that CT-P13 + methotrexate is comparable in efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity to the combination of reference infliximab (Remicade) and methotrexate[1][2][3].
