Overview

**CT-P6 + paclitaxel** is a combination therapy consisting of CT-P6, a biosimilar of trastuzumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting HER2), together with paclitaxel (a microtubule inhibitor), used primarily for the treatment of **HER2-positive breast cancer**. CT-P6 binds to the HER2 receptor, inhibiting downstream signaling pathways (AKT and ERK1/2), reducing cell proliferation, and inducing antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Paclitaxel stabilizes microtubules, preventing mitosis and cell division. The combination exhibits equivalent efficacy and safety to reference trastuzumab (Herceptin) plus paclitaxel and is frequently used in neoadjuvant and metastatic settings. CT-P6 was developed to provide a cost-effective alternative to reference trastuzumab, showing similar clinical outcomes when combined with taxanes such as paclitaxel[1][2].
