Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CT-P63 + CT-P66 is a combination of two monoclonal antibodies developed by Celltrion for the treatment of COVID-19. Both antibodies are designed to target the receptor binding domain of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein, thereby inhibiting viral entry into host cells. The combination acts as a virus internalisation inhibitor and was investigated primarily as an inhalation therapy for symptomatic COVID-19 patients. Preclinical studies demonstrated neutralizing activity against multiple SARS-CoV-2 variants, including Omicron, Beta, and Delta. Clinical development included phase 1 safety studies for each antibody individually and a planned phase 3 trial for the combination in COVID-19; however, this trial was withdrawn prior to enrollment and further development has been discontinued[2][3][4][5].
