CT001 (Cessatech)

CT001 is an intranasal fixed-dose combination of sufentanil and ketamine being developed by Cessatech A/S for the treatment of acute pain, with a primary focus on pediatric populations. Sufentanil is a highly potent opioid analgesic that acts as a selective mu-opioid receptor agonist, while ketamine is a non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist. The combination is designed to provide rapid-onset, non-invasive pain relief by leveraging the synergistic analgesic effects of these two agents, which may allow for lower doses of opioids and a reduced side-effect profile.
