CTS2190 + anti-PD-1 is a combination therapy being developed by CytosinLab for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The regimen combines CTS2190, a first-in-class, orally available small molecule inhibitor of Protein Arginine Methyltransferase 1 (PRMT1), with an immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1). PRMT1 is an epigenetic enzyme responsible for the majority of cellular arginine methylation; its inhibition is thought to modulate gene expression and the tumor immune microenvironment, potentially overcoming resistance to immunotherapy. By pairing epigenetic modulation with PD-1 blockade, this combination therapy aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses and improve clinical outcomes in patients with difficult-to-treat cancers.
