Overview

Curcumin + hyaluronic acid is a conjugate formulation that combines the therapeutic properties of curcumin with the targeting capabilities of hyaluronic acid. This combination creates a self-assembling nanoparticle system that can enhance curcumin's solubility, stability, and bioavailability. The hyaluronic acid component enables CD44 receptor-mediated targeted delivery to cells expressing CD44, which is found on various cancer cells. This conjugate has shown efficacy in preventing urinary tract infections and reversing multidrug resistance in cancer cells.
