This is a combination therapy consisting of three pharmacological agents: - **CV 205-502** is a nonergot, oral dopamine D2 receptor agonist with prolactin-lowering effects. It is used primarily for the treatment of hyperprolactinemia and related disorders such as prolactin-secreting pituitary adenomas. Its mechanism involves stimulation of dopamine D2 receptors, leading to inhibition of prolactin secretion from the anterior pituitary gland[1][3][4][5]. - **Octreotide** is a synthetic somatostatin analog that inhibits the secretion of several hormones, including growth hormone and various gastrointestinal peptides. It acts mainly by binding to somatostatin receptors. - **Tamoxifen** is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) commonly used in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer and other estrogen-related conditions. It acts as an antagonist on estrogen receptors in breast tissue. The combination may be considered for complex endocrine or oncologic indications where simultaneous suppression of prolactin (CV 205-502), inhibition of growth hormone or other peptide hormones (octreotide), and modulation/blockade of estrogen signaling (tamoxifen) are desired.
