Overview

**Cyclophosphamide + carmustine + cytarabine + carboplatin** (also known as CECC) is a multi-agent chemotherapy combination regimen consisting of four cytotoxic agents: cyclophosphamide (alkylating agent), carmustine (nitrosourea alkylating agent), cytarabine (antimetabolite pyrimidine analog), and carboplatin (platinum-based alkylating-like agent). It is primarily used in high-dose settings as a conditioning regimen prior to autologous stem cell transplantation for relapsed or refractory lymphomas, such as Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The regimen leverages synergistic DNA damage and inhibition of DNA synthesis to eradicate malignant cells, though it carries significant risks of myelosuppression, pulmonary toxicity (from carmustine), and other chemotherapy-related toxicities.
