Overview

This is a multi-component investigational combination therapy comprising four distinct agents: - Cyclophosphamide, an alkylating agent that interferes with DNA replication and cell division, commonly used as chemotherapy. - Docetaxel, a taxane-class chemotherapeutic that stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division. - Dendritic cells, which are immune cells used in cell-based immunotherapy to present tumor antigens and stimulate anti-tumor T-cell responses. - OK-432 (Picibanil), a lyophilized preparation of Streptococcus pyogenes with biological response-modifying activity; it acts as an immunostimulant by inducing cytokine production and activating various immune effector cells. The rationale for this combination is to integrate cytotoxic chemotherapy (cyclophosphamide and docetaxel) with immunomodulatory strategies (dendritic cell therapy and OK-432) to enhance anti-tumor immunity while directly targeting cancer cells. This approach aims to maximize tumor destruction through both direct cytotoxicity and stimulation of the host's immune system[1][2][6].
