Overview

This drug is a combination therapy consisting of three agents used primarily in the treatment of breast cancer and other solid tumors. - **Cyclophosphamide** is an alkylating agent that interferes with DNA replication and transcription, leading to cell death. It is widely used as chemotherapy for various cancers. - **Docetaxel** is a taxane-class chemotherapeutic agent that promotes microtubule stabilization, inhibiting mitosis and inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. - **Pegfilgrastim** is a pegylated recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) that stimulates the bone marrow to produce neutrophils, reducing the risk of febrile neutropenia caused by myelosuppressive chemotherapy. The combination of cyclophosphamide and docetaxel provides synergistic antitumor activity against breast cancer. Pegfilgrastim is administered prophylactically to reduce the incidence of febrile neutropenia associated with this chemotherapy regimen, allowing maintenance of dose intensity and schedule[1][2][6][7][10].
