Overview

A combination therapy regimen consisting of three chemotherapeutic agents (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and fluorouracil) plus two endocrine therapy agents (goserelin and tamoxifen). The chemotherapy component is commonly known as FAC or CAF. This combination is used for the treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, particularly in premenopausal women. The addition of goserelin provides ovarian function suppression, while tamoxifen acts as an estrogen receptor antagonist in breast tissue.
