Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin (Adriamycin), and trastuzumab (Herceptin). Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent that damages DNA during the cell's resting phase. Doxorubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic that damages DNA at any point in the cell cycle. Trastuzumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets the HER2 protein found in high amounts in some breast cancers. This combination is primarily used for HER2-positive breast cancer treatment.
