cyclophosphamide + doxorubicin + uracil

This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and uracil. Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent that interferes with DNA replication and transcription by cross-linking DNA strands, leading to cell death. Doxorubicin is an anthracycline antibiotic that intercalates into DNA, inhibits topoisomerase II, and generates free radicals, resulting in inhibition of DNA synthesis and function as well as apoptosis. Uracil itself is a pyrimidine base found in RNA; however, it does not have established use as a chemotherapeutic agent on its own or in standard regimens with cyclophosphamide and doxorubicin. The most common related regimens are AC (doxorubicin + cyclophosphamide) for breast cancer[1][6] or CAF (cyclophosphamide + doxorubicin + fluorouracil)[2]. There are no widely recognized clinical protocols using uracil instead of fluorouracil in this context.
