Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of the alkylating agent cyclophosphamide, the purine nucleoside analog fludarabine, and the growth factor sargramostim (GM-CSF). This combination is used primarily in the treatment of hematologic malignancies, particularly chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and low-grade non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). Cyclophosphamide damages DNA of cancer cells, fludarabine interferes with DNA synthesis, and sargramostim stimulates white blood cell production to help prevent infection during chemotherapy.
