This is a combination regimen of two drugs—cyclophosphamide and glatiramer acetate—used primarily in the management of relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (MS). Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent with immunosuppressive and antineoplastic properties, often used as high-dose induction therapy (HiCy) to suppress immune activity. Glatiramer acetate is an immunomodulatory agent that acts as a disease-modifying therapy for MS by modulating immune processes involved in the pathogenesis of the disease. In this regimen, high-dose cyclophosphamide is administered first to induce remission or reduce disease activity, followed by long-term maintenance with glatiramer acetate to sustain clinical benefit and prevent relapses. This approach has been studied for patients with aggressive or treatment-refractory MS[1][2].
