Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of cyclophosphamide, an alkylating agent, and lenograstim, a recombinant human granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (rHuG-CSF). Cyclophosphamide works by interfering with DNA replication through its metabolite phosphoramide mustard, while lenograstim stimulates neutrophil production to reduce chemotherapy-induced neutropenia. This combination is used in cancer treatment, particularly for inflammatory breast cancer, where lenograstim helps mitigate the myelosuppressive effects of cyclophosphamide-containing chemotherapy regimens.
