This is a combination therapy consisting of four distinct anticancer agents: 1. **Cyclophosphamide**: An alkylating agent that works by interfering with DNA replication in rapidly dividing cells. 2. **Nabpaclitaxel**: A taxane that stabilizes microtubules, preventing cell division. 3. **Nonpegylated liposome-encapsulated doxorubicin**: A liposomal formulation of doxorubicin designed to reduce cardiotoxicity while preserving antitumor efficacy. The formulation encapsulates water-soluble doxorubicin within a phospholipid membrane to prevent it from exiting the circulation through capillary junctions in healthy tissues while allowing it to pass through damaged capillaries of tumor tissues. This formulation is similar to the commercial product Myocet®. 4. **Trastuzumab**: A monoclonal antibody that targets HER2-positive cancer cells. It works by locking onto the HER2 protein on cancer cells to stop them from growing and dividing. This combination likely targets HER2-positive breast cancer through multiple mechanisms of action.
