Overview

A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of cyclophosphamide, nonpegylated liposomal doxorubicin (NPLD), and trastuzumab. This regimen is used primarily for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. The nonpegylated liposomal formulation of doxorubicin offers reduced cardiotoxicity compared to conventional doxorubicin while maintaining efficacy. Trastuzumab targets HER2 receptors on cancer cells, while cyclophosphamide and doxorubicin provide cytotoxic effects. This combination is typically administered sequentially, with cyclophosphamide and NPLD followed by trastuzumab, often with a taxane.
