Overview

Cysteine-Methylene-Carbamoyl–1,10–Phenanthroline is an experimental small molecule compound containing a phenanthroline skeleton linked to a cysteine residue via a methylene carbamoyl group. The molecule is aromatic and polycyclic in nature. It has been studied primarily as a chemical probe or ligand in biochemical research rather than as an approved pharmaceutical agent. Its only known protein interaction is with the fatty acid-binding protein, adipocyte (FABP4), but its pharmacological action remains unknown. There are no approved indications or clinical trials for this compound[1][2][5].
