Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CYT004-MelQbG10 + imiquimod is a combination therapy under investigation for the treatment of melanoma and potentially other cancers. CYT004-MelQbG10 is a virus-like particle-based vaccine targeting the melanoma antigen Melan-A/MART-1, designed to stimulate an immune response against melanoma cells. Imiquimod is an immune response modifier that acts as a toll-like receptor 7 agonist, used topically to treat actinic keratosis, superficial basal cell carcinoma, and genital/perianal warts. In this combination, imiquimod serves as an adjuvant to enhance local immune activation at the site of vaccine administration by inducing proinflammatory cytokines and activating antigen-presenting cells[4][6][8]. The overall mechanism aims to boost both innate and adaptive anti-tumor immunity.
