Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**D[KLAKLAK]2-CGKRK-PEG-NW** is an experimental, intravenously administered iron-oxide nanoworm therapeutic developed for glioblastoma. It consists of PEG-coated iron-oxide nanoworms bearing a chimeric peptide comprising the tumor-vascular-homing peptide CGKRK and the mitochondria-disrupting pro-apoptotic peptide D[KLAKLAK]2. In mouse glioma models, the construct accumulated in glioma blood vessels, inhibited tumor growth, and significantly prolonged survival versus control treatment. It remained a preclinical research-stage nanotherapeutic with no identified marketed product or clinical development program.
