This is a **combination therapy** comprising three modalities: dendritic cell-cytokine-induced killer cells (D-CIK, a form of adoptive cell immunotherapy), **gemcitabine** (a nucleoside analog antineoplastic agent), and **cisplatin** (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent). This combination aims to improve immune function, quality of life, and survival in cancer patients—especially those with locally advanced gastric cancer and colorectal cancer following surgery or standard chemotherapy, showing increased T-cell and NK-cell counts and improved immune parameters, with manageable toxicity[1][3][7].
