A combination of d-penicillamine and hydroxychloroquine that has been studied for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Clinical trials have shown that this combination is not superior to d-penicillamine alone for progressive rheumatoid arthritis, and therefore cannot be recommended. The combination may increase the effects of either medication.
