Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DA-4505 is an investigational small molecule antagonist of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), developed by Dong-A ST. AhR is a regulator of immune responses, and its inhibition by DA-4505 restores suppressed immune activity in the tumor microenvironment, activating dendritic cells and T cells to enhance anti-tumor immunity. Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) is a humanized monoclonal antibody that targets programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‑1), blocking its interaction with PD-L1/PD-L2 to release inhibitory signals on T cells, thereby promoting anti-tumor immune responses. The combination of DA‑4505 and pembrolizumab is being studied for synergistic effects in overcoming resistance to immunotherapy in patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors[2][6][5].
