This is a combination regimen consisting of six anticancer agents: - **Dacarbazine** is an alkylating agent that works by methylating DNA and inhibiting DNA synthesis. - **Pazopanib** is a small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs) and other kinases to inhibit angiogenesis. - **Gemcitabine** is a nucleoside analog that inhibits DNA synthesis. - **Docetaxel** is a taxane that stabilizes microtubules and prevents cell division. - **Doxorubicin** is an anthracycline antibiotic that intercalates into DNA and inhibits topoisomerase II. - **Ifosfamide** is an alkylating agent causing cross-linking of DNA strands. This multi-agent regimen combines drugs with different mechanisms of action for the treatment of advanced or refractory soft tissue sarcoma and other solid tumors. The combination of gemcitabine plus docetaxel has demonstrated efficacy in soft tissue sarcoma after failure with doxorubicin/ifosfamide regimens[1][7]. Each drug contributes unique antitumor activity through distinct molecular targets.
