Overview

This is a combination regimen of three anticancer drugs—dacarbazine, pazopanib, and gemcitabine—used experimentally or off-label in oncology. - **Dacarbazine** is an alkylating agent that works by methylating DNA and inhibiting DNA synthesis and function. It is primarily used for the treatment of metastatic malignant melanoma and Hodgkin lymphoma. - **Pazopanib** is an oral small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR-1/2/3), platelet-derived growth factor receptors alpha/beta (PDGFR-α/β), and c-Kit. It inhibits angiogenesis required for tumor growth[4][9]. - **Gemcitabine** is a nucleoside analog that acts as a metabolic inhibitor of DNA synthesis by incorporating into DNA during replication, leading to cell death. It is approved for use in various solid tumors including pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer[6][8][10]. This combination may be explored in clinical trials or specialized settings for synergistic antitumor effects.
