Dactylis glomerata pollen extract, enriched, is a combination allergen immunotherapy (AIT) developed by Inmunotek S.L. for the treatment of allergic rhinitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and allergic asthma triggered by Orchard Grass (Cocksfoot) pollen. The formulation typically consists of a standardized, often polymerized (allergoid) extract of *Dactylis glomerata* pollen enriched with bacterial lysates (Bactek). Administered primarily as a sublingual spray (Oraltek), the bacterial lysates serve as a mucosal adjuvant by stimulating Toll-like receptors (TLRs), which enhances the induction of immune tolerance. The mechanism of action involves shifting the immune response from a Th2-dominated allergic profile to a Th1/Treg-mediated tolerant state, resulting in increased production of regulatory cytokines like IL-10 and the generation of allergen-specific IgG4 blocking antibodies that inhibit IgE-mediated mast cell degranulation.
