Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination of dalteparin (a low molecular weight heparin) and unfractionated heparin (UFH). Both medications are anticoagulants that work by potentiating the activity of antithrombin III, though with different specificities. Dalteparin preferentially inactivates factor Xa, while unfractionated heparin inhibits both factor Xa and thrombin. This combination is not typically used clinically as a fixed combination product, as these medications are generally used separately based on specific clinical indications.
