Overview
Dapablis V is an oral fixed-dose combination therapy developed by Med Manor Organics for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It combines dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, with vildagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. Dapagliflozin works in the kidneys to block glucose reabsorption, promoting its excretion in the urine, while vildagliptin prevents the degradation of incretin hormones, thereby enhancing insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. Together, these complementary mechanisms provide comprehensive glycemic control and help reduce the risk of long-term diabetic complications.
