Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Da Sutra is a branded generic formulation of dapoxetine, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) specifically indicated for the treatment of premature ejaculation in men aged 18 to 64 years. Developed as a short-acting SSRI, it is designed for on-demand use, typically taken 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity. The drug works by inhibiting the serotonin transporter (SERT), which increases serotonin levels in the synaptic cleft and enhances the inhibitory action of serotonin on the ejaculatory reflex. It is manufactured and supplied by Azista Bhutan Healthcare (a subsidiary of Azista Industries) for the Bhutanese market.
