Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Dapoxetine + sildenafil is a fixed-dose combination of two small molecule drugs used in adult men for the treatment of premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. Dapoxetine is a short‐acting selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that increases serotonin levels in the brain, thereby delaying ejaculation and improving control over ejaculation. Sildenafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor that enhances blood flow to the penis by inhibiting cGMP-specific PDE5, facilitating erection during sexual stimulation. The combination addresses both rapid ejaculation and difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection, providing dual therapeutic benefits for men experiencing both conditions[1][3][4][6].
