Daratumumab is a monoclonal antibody that targets CD38, a surface glycoprotein highly expressed on multiple myeloma cells, acting through direct cytotoxicity and immune-mediated cell death mechanisms. Bortezomib is a small molecule proteasome inhibitor that disrupts cellular protein degradation, leading to apoptosis of malignant plasma cells.
