Overview
A combination therapy consisting of dasatinib (a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets Src family kinases) and fluorouracil (a chemotherapy agent). This combination has been studied in clinical trials, particularly for metastatic pancreatic cancer, often as part of the FOLFOX-D regimen which also includes oxaliplatin and leucovorin. Preclinical studies suggested that Src inhibition through dasatinib might synergistically enhance the antitumor effects of fluorouracil and oxaliplatin.
