Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Day & Night Tuxil Cold & Flu Capsules is an over-the-counter combination medication developed by Fidson Healthcare for the relief of symptoms associated with the common cold, influenza, and chills. The product is co-packaged into daytime and nighttime formulations to provide tailored symptom management. The daytime (Tuxil-Day) capsules contain paracetamol (an analgesic and antipyretic), phenylephrine hydrochloride (a nasal decongestant), and cetirizine dihydrochloride (a non-sedating antihistamine). The nighttime (Tuxil-Night) capsules contain paracetamol, phenylephrine hydrochloride, chlorpheniramine maleate (a sedating antihistamine to aid sleep), and dextromethorphan hydrobromide (a cough suppressant). This combination effectively addresses fever, body aches, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, and dry cough throughout the day and night.
