Overview

DC-006 is an autologous dendritic cell (DC)-based therapeutic cancer vaccine designed for the treatment of recurrent platinum-sensitive epithelial ovarian cancer. The vaccine is prepared by harvesting a patient's own dendritic cells and loading them with mRNA encoding human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT), survivin (BIRC5), and amplified mRNA derived from ovarian cancer stem cells (CSCs). This personalized immunotherapy is intended to prime the immune system to recognize and eliminate tumor cells and cancer stem cell populations that are often resistant to conventional chemotherapy. It is typically administered as a consolidation therapy via intradermal injection following a response to platinum-based treatment to prevent or delay relapse.
