Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DC-TC + GM-CSF is an autologous cellular immunotherapy developed by Shanghai AbelZeta Ltd. (formerly Cellular Biomedicine Group) for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The therapy consists of a patient's own dendritic cells fused with their inactivated tumor cells (DC-TC), creating a hybrid cell vaccine that presents a comprehensive array of tumor-associated antigens to the immune system. This is co-administered with granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), which acts as an adjuvant to stimulate the recruitment and maturation of antigen-presenting cells. The combination is designed to induce a potent, tumor-specific T-cell response to prevent disease recurrence following surgical resection or transarterial chemoembolization (TACE).
