Decitabine + oxaliplatin is an investigational combination therapy consisting of two chemotherapeutic agents, decitabine and oxaliplatin. Decitabine is a pyrimidine nucleoside analogue that acts as a DNA methyltransferase inhibitor, leading to DNA hypomethylation and reactivation of silenced genes, which can induce cell differentiation or apoptosis in malignant cells. Oxaliplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that forms DNA crosslinks, inhibiting DNA replication and transcription, ultimately resulting in cell death.
