Overview

Delta inulin + CpG55.2 is a combination vaccine adjuvant composed of two components: - Delta inulin (Advax): a plant-derived polysaccharide crystallized into microparticulate form that enhances both humoral and cellular immune responses by promoting antigen uptake and presentation via dendritic cells. - CpG55.2: a synthetic 24-mer class B CpG oligonucleotide that acts as a potent agonist of human toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9), further boosting CD8+ T cell responses and overall immunogenicity. This combination is used as an adjuvant to improve the efficacy of protein-based vaccines by enhancing antibody production and T-cell immunity without causing significant local inflammation or reactogenicity[1][4][5]. It has been incorporated into licensed COVID-19 vaccines such as SpikoGen® for humans and SpikeVet™ for animals[4]. The platform has demonstrated safety and effectiveness across multiple species including humans, non-human primates, ferrets, hamsters, horses, camels, alpacas, and zoo animals[1][4].
