Demineralized dentin matrix (DDM) combined with platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) is an autogenous grafting complex developed for alveolar ridge preservation following tooth extraction. DDM is derived from the patient's own extracted teeth and processed to remove the mineral component while retaining the organic matrix, which includes type I collagen and various bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) that provide osteoconductive and osteoinductive properties. PRF is a second-generation platelet concentrate prepared from the patient's blood, forming a fibrin scaffold that traps platelets, leucocytes, and a high concentration of growth factors such as VEGF, TGF-β1, and PDGF. The combination of DDM and PRF aims to enhance graft stability, accelerate soft tissue healing, and promote robust bone regeneration within the extraction socket to prevent the natural resorption of the alveolar ridge.
